Grizzly Bear, Yellowstone National Park
I was heading for Lamar Valley in the afternoon when I spotted this mama grizzly and two cubs near the side of the road. I was in the first car in what soon became a parking lot by the side of the road. My long 500mm lens is great for close-ups but tricky without a tripod. At one point with the ranger yelling for people to get back, the mama grizzly reared up and told us rubberneckers not to mess around with her. I got her message and her image.
