Sunrise over the Colorado at Canyonlands National Park. This image was 2nd place winner in a juried exhibition. See Press.

Canyonlands National Park, although a virtual next door neighbor to Arches National Park, presents very different photographic opportunities. Vistas from on high are the norm in Canyonlands, in contrast to more close-up images at Arches. The mountains were glowing as the sun lifted over the horizon during this fall morning as I looked down on the Goosenecks of the Colorado River. The layers of the mountains and the flow of the river make this a magical place.
