Sunrise at Toroweap Point
Toroweap Point is a 60-mile drive over gravel and worse roads on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The image is the classic shot from Toroweap, the glow of the red rock overlooking the Colorado River below. Downstream you can see Lava Falls, the largest rapid on the river. It does not look big from Toroweap, but having run it in a paddle boat, I can testify it is a very big rapid.
