We hiked out to the Valley of Dreams photographing the Alien Throne and other magical formations. We photographed the hoodoos during the blue hour. Nights found us again under clear skies for the milky way rising over a varying set of amazing hoodoos. We spent time trying to find compositions in the bentonite badlands (gray and black rock) before heading out to photograph an ancient Navajo defensive ruin against the sparkling night sky. It was a very different experience for me, both in terms of techniques in the field, and processing multiple images using Lightroom and Photoshop to create the images included on my website.
